 Roadrunner Email Settings Troubleshooting Common Problems:

Roadrunner is a widely used email service provider for both personal and professional purposes. Whether accessing Roadrunner directly in a browser or through email applications like Outlook or on mobile devices, configuring the Roadrunner email settings correctly is essential for smooth functionality.





- Setup Roadrunner Mail Settings in IMAP in Outlook:

  •   - Launch Outlook.
  •   - Go to "My accounts."
  •   - Click the "Add Account" button.
  •   - Sign in with your Roadrunner email address and password.
  •   - Select the "Manual Configuration" option instead of the "Automatic Configuration" option.
  •   - Choose "IMAP" as the account type.
  •   - Enter your email, password, username, and Roadrunner Email settings for the IMAP server.
  •   - Configure the server settings properly:
  •     - Incoming server: mail.twc.com
  •     - Outgoing Server: mail.twc.com
  •     - Incoming mail server port: 143
  •     - Outgoing mail server port: 465 or 587
  •     - Incoming security type: SSL/TLS
  •     - Outgoing security type: None
  •     - Uncheck the "secure server" and "Verified certificate" options.
  •   - Verify the settings and click "Next" to complete the configuration.


- Setup Roadrunner Email Settings in POP3 in Outlook:

  •   - Navigate to the "My Account" section.
  •   - Select "Add account."
  •   - Choose the "Manually Configure" option.
  •   - Select POP3 as the account type.
  •   - Enter your Roadrunner email, password, username, and the POP3 server's Roadrunner email settings.
  •   - Configure the server settings properly:
  •     - Incoming server: mail.twc.com
  •     - Outgoing server (SMTP): mail.twc.com
  •     - Incoming mail server port: 995
  •     - Outgoing mail server port: 587
  •     - Select "None" for security type in both incoming and outgoing.
  •   - Click "Next" and then "Done" to complete the configuration.


- Set up Roadrunner Email Settings in Android Using a POP3 Server:

  •   - Launch the Email app.
  •   - Enter your Roadrunner email address and click "Next."
  •   - Choose POP3 as the server type and click "Next."
  •   - Enter your Roadrunner email password and click "Next."
  •   - Enter the information for the incoming mail server settings:
  •     - Username: Your full email address
  •     - Password: Your Roadrunner email password
  •     - Incoming mail server: pop-server.yourlocation.rr.com
  •     - Incoming server port: 110
  •     - Security type: None
  •   - After entering the information, click "Next."
  •   - Set up the outgoing server settings:
  •     - SMTP server: SMTP-server.yourlocation.rr.com
  •     - Outgoing server port: 587 or 25
  •     - Security type: None
  •     - Check the "Require sign-in" checkbox.
  •     - Enter your full Roadrunner email address as the username.
  •     - Enter your Roadrunner email password.
  •   - Click "Next" and then "Next" again.
  •   - Enter your name in the "Your name" field and click "Next."


- Set up Roadrunner Email Settings in Android Using an IMAP Server:

  •   - Open the "Mail" application on your Android phone.
  •   - Click on "Manual setup."
  •   - Select IMAP as the account type.
  •   - Enter your Roadrunner email address and password, then click "Next."
  •   - Enter the information for the incoming mail server settings:
  •     - Username: Your full email address
  •     - Password: Your Roadrunner email password
  •     - Incoming mail server: mail.twc.com
  •     - Incoming server port: 993
  •     - Security type: SSL/TLS
  •     - Insecure port number: 125
  •     - Type of security: None (if the port is 125)
  •   - Click "Next" after entering the information.
  •   - Configure the outgoing server settings:
  •     - SMTP server: mail.twc.com
  •     - Outgoing server port: 465, 587, or 25
  •     - Security type: SSL/TLS (select None if the port is 25)
  •     - Enter your Roadrunner email password.
  •   - Click "Next" and then "Next" again.
  •   - Enter your name in the "Your name" field and click "Next."


- Set up Roadrunner Email Settings Using IMAP on iPhone:

  •   - Click on "Settings" on your iPhone.
  •   - Select "Mail" from the settings menu.
  •   - Under the mail option, choose "Accounts."
  •   - Select "Add account" and then "Others."
  •   - Click on "Add a mail account."
  •   - Enter your name, email address, and password, then click "Next."
  •   - Choose IMAP as the account type.
  •   - Configure the IMAP server for incoming and outgoing servers:
  •     - Incoming mail server: mail.twc.com
  •     - Outgoing mail server: mail.twc.com
  •     - SSL enabled
  •     - Outgoing secure port: 465
  •     - Security type: SSL/TLS
  •     - Outgoing roaming port: 587
  •     - Security type: SSL/TLS
  •     - Outgoing insecure port: 25 or 587
  •     - Security type: None
  •     - Authentication: Password
  •   - Click "Next" and complete the setup.
  •   - Your Roadrunner email is now ready to use on your iPhone.
